Butawarna had been commissioned by the East Java branch of Bank Indonesia, to create and develop a brand new non-wearable brand and product based on Madura's Tanjung Bumi Batik. It is one of the most distinctive and sophisticated batik heritage from Madura, but unfortunately they have made no significant progress in developing into the commodities market. The result is "aghili" (Madurese: flowing), a line of product that explores the Tanjung Bumi Traditional Batik in a contemporary and functional design. The task spans from brand concept, naming, brand visual identity system, product development/design, to the exhibition design.
